Hello and welcome to Star Paws Dog Training!

If you have recently welcomed a new puppy into your family, are looking for help with your dog's training, or simply want to enjoy more fun activities together, you’re in the right place.

I believe that training should be enjoyable for both you and your dog. It shouldn’t feel like a chore or something you have to battle through, it should be a chance to build your bond, understand each other better and have fun along the way.

Every dog is different, which means every training journey will look slightly different too. Whether you have a puppy learning their first skills, an older dog who needs a little extra support, or you simply want to learn something new together, I’m here to help.

At Star Paws, I use positive reinforcement training methods, focusing on rewarding the behaviours we want to see.

Dogs learn best when training is fun, clear and rewarding, so my aim is always to make training a positive experience for both you and your dog.

Training is about much more than teaching your dog to sit or lie down. It is about communication, confidence and helping you understand your dog better.

By learning how your dog thinks and communicates, you can build a stronger relationship and make everyday life together easier.

Puppy Training

Those first few months with a puppy are exciting, but they can also feel overwhelming!

Getting the right foundations in place early can make a huge difference. I offer both Puppy Start Right home visits and general puppy training sessions to help you navigate those important early stages.

Puppy Start Right home visits are perfect for new puppy owners who want support before vaccinations are complete. We can talk about settling your puppy into their new home, socialisation, routines, toilet training, handling and those important first training steps.

I also offer one-to-one puppy training, where sessions are tailored around you and your puppy. Whether you need help with basic manners, lead walking, recall, confidence building or simply want guidance as your puppy grows, we can focus on the areas that matter most to you.

Puppy Classes

Learning with other puppies is a great way to build confidence, practise skills around distractions and have fun together.

My puppy classes are a 4-week course designed to help you and your puppy build the foundations for a happy life together. We focus on essential skills, communication, confidence and helping you understand your puppy better, all while keeping training fun and rewarding.

One-to-One Dog Training

Every dog and owner combination is unique, which is why one-to-one training can be so effective.

Whether you need help with loose lead walking, recall, confidence, everyday manners or learning new skills together, sessions are tailored around your dog's individual needs and your training goals. Fun Training Activities and Workshops

Training doesn’t have to stop once your dog knows the basics!

I love helping owners discover fun activities they can enjoy with their dogs, including Rally and Heelwork to Music. These activities are a fantastic way to improve teamwork, confidence and the bond you share with your dog.

Dog Walking and Training Walks

A good walk is about much more than just covering miles.

Dogs need opportunities to explore, sniff and experience the world around them. My dog walking services provide enjoyable and enriching walks while giving you peace of mind that your dog is receiving quality care.

For dogs who need a little extra support, I also offer training walks. These combine exercise with continued training, helping your dog practise skills in real-life environments. This could include improving lead walking, focus, recall or other areas your dog may need help with.
